Doctor of Physical Therapy, Pelvic Floor Specialist
Dr. Cristin Zaimes holds a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Simmons College and has specialized in the field of orthopedics and pelvic floor dysfunction for over 10 years. She has extensive advanced training through the American Physical Therapy Association for pelvic floor, bladder, bowel and sexual dysfunction for women and men. Dr. Zaimes teaches annually to doctoral level students at Simmons College regarding the current concepts in Women’s health, obstetrics and pelvic floor physical therapy. In the clinic, Cristin uses various methods of treatment to alleviate symptoms and help patients return to their best physical self. Multiple forms of manual treatment such as massage, myofascial release and dry needling can be incorporated into her sessions. Movement is the key! She is passionate about facilitating movement and a healthy lifestyle. We can connect you with the best resources to help on your journey. The physical aspect is important along with stress management, optimal nutrition and emotional health.
Cristin's own journey began after the birth of her daughter 13 years ago. This is the moment she realized the missing link for her patients. The pelvic floor was they key to so many issues that women have because it was always overlooked, ignored and discounted.
She is passionate about advocating for the progression of medicine for women and is always thinking outside the box of traditional medicine.
